The Old Farmhouse breakfast has been photographed so often by our guests that we thought we would have a go too - just to demonstrate the thought and complexity beyond the menu -
For example ‘tea’ isn’t just tea it can be English breakfast, Assam, Earl Grey, Lady Grey, Indian Chai, Chinese Lapsang Souchong, Organic ..
‘Orange juice’ isn’t just orange juice it can be freshly squeezed Jaffa orange juice or Blood orange juice or orange mixed with other fruits to create a fruit smoothie (100% pure fruit)

‘Yoghurt’ isn’t just yoghurt it could be our farmhouse speciality, lime and lavender yoghurt made with lavender from the herb garden, limes and local honey and served with butter puff pastries.

Our croissants, pains and Danish pastries come warm and fresh from the Aga and our preserves are made on the neighbouring farm. Hedgerow Jelly is a local treat and Orange & Rhubarb marmalade is to die for.
There is always a choice of hams and fish - e.g. local Wiltshire or Black Suffolk ham (basted with treacle & stout)mackerel fillets or salmon mousse with hens or quails eggs, breakfast cheese, a local soft herb cheese and organic tomatoes, olive melba toast and a garnish of fruit and herbs.

September's seasonal Kitchen Special uses the delicious pears tantalisingly clustered from the tree wending its way up The Old Farmhouse wall. Coffee & Pear Breakfast Special (a mouth watering combination of pears poached in a honey and coffee liquor, set on a light pastry and topped with a delicately flavoured crème.) |
